LOOKING AHEAD

Although the post-October 7th conflict continues to impact Israel’s southern and northern border regions – the rhythm of everyday life has returned in Israel. The incidence of rockets threatening major Israeli population centers has become increasingly uncommon, and we are hopeful this trend will only improve. We will certainly adjust our routes to avoid any areas of concern, and expect those changes to be minor. Meanwhile, Israel continues to benefit from the protections afforded by its world-leading anti-rocket technologies.

Israel has existed in a challenging region since its inception 75 years ago, and while we all hope and pray for a more peaceful future, the region is likely to remain challenging for the next 75 years. While the gravity of October 7th is felt, Israel is a resilient and vibrant country that is ready to welcome visitors again with open arms.

In line with guidance from the security authorities, we will avoid travel in the vicinity of the northern and southern borders of Israel for the foreseeable future – which means only minor differences from our typical itineraries. You can look forward to still experiencing ALL the major highlights of Israel – including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, Tsfat, the Negev Desert, Haifa, and Israel’s Mediterranean Coast.  Similarly, you can also still look forward to experiencing Israel’s vibrant markets, its delicious cuisine, and its awe-inspiring culture of innovation.

Our trips are designed to showcase the epic history, natural beauty, and cultural complexity of Israel. While not being a focus of our classic tours, of course, we will address the current events of the region during our travels with an open dialogue, and we will welcome a diversity of views – just like there is a diverse dialogue in Israel as a whole.

We recognize this remains a sensitive moment, and we are prepared to relax our withdraw dates for your comfort. Details will be communicated on a trip-by-trip basis within a month of the standard withdraw date, depending on conditions at that time.

We will not hesitate to cancel the program and issue full refunds, as we did in October 2023 and in other challenging moments from the past. Ultimately, our tours will proceed so long as we are confident in being able to provide you with a safe, meaningful, and joyous journey in Israel. If the security situation in Israel were to worsen while you are traveling, we will adjust our approach, including relocation of the group, if warranted. We appreciate our responsibility for your well-being in Israel, and our decision-making will be guided by this understanding.
