A VIP airport greeting and transfer to our hotel will be provided for anyone arriving to Ben Gurion Airport between 6:00am and 5:35pm on the program arrival day (Monday). Guaranteed hotel check-in is available starting at 3:00pm (luggage can be stowed earlier). On the final evening of the program (Thursday or Sunday), a transfer will be provided back to Ben Gurion Airport in time for flights taking off from Israel between 11:00pm (Thursday or Sunday) and 1:00am (Friday or Monday).

Yes, you may purchase traditional travel insurance, and we recommend Travel Insured International. Consider also purchasing a low-cost local medical insurance policy at least three weeks before your scheduled arrival.

Yes, you may arrive early or stay longer in Israel, and we can extend your stay at the Tel Aviv hotel (pre-trip for all or post-trip for 4-day travelers) or Jerusalem hotel (post-trip for 7-day travelers). The rates vary by program dates. Contact us for more details.

While it is true that Israel is engaged in an active military conflict along parts of its southern and northern borders, all of our travels will be in the center of the country – in the vicinities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem where rocket alerts have become very uncommon. We travel with an armed escort at all times, we use hotels with a saferoom, and we exercise common sense decision-making like the people of Israel do every day.

We staff our trips 24x7 with professional (and armed) guides who care for our volunteers like family. In the event the security situation in Israel worsens while you are in Israel, we will make adjustments to our approach, including relocation of the group, if warranted. We appreciate our responsibility for your well-being, and our decision-making will be guided by this understanding.

Travelers will be briefed ahead of arrival on the standard security protocols we follow. Although very rare at this point, travelers should be aware that there is a possibility they will be present for a rocket alert siren during our travels. Fortunately, Israel has sophisticated anti-rocket protections, and we generally travel in parts of the country that are away from the border areas.

If we assess that security conditions materially change before your arrival, and we do not believe it will be safe or wise to travel to Israel over your scheduled dates, refunds will be issued beyond our standard flexible terms.

Yes, all food served is certified kosher, and we will not use a bus over Shabbat for group programming.

Subsidies are not available for this program, however, we are offering a similar program for ages 18-40 that is subsidized by Birthright Israel Onward.

No. The program is designed with Jewish travelers in mind (e.g. all kosher food, Shabbat experiences), but all volunteers are welcome!

To assist with our planning and because we limit groups to 25 travelers, we ask that you register as far in advance as possible. Your space is secured with payment of the $250/person trip deposit, and we offer full refund terms up to 45 days in advance so that you can register for a future volunteer trip with confidence.

NOTE: For those making "last minute" plans, if there is theoretical space in a group within 30 days of the start date, check with us in advance before registering because your participation may be subject to hotel availability. 

Many of our volunteers are traveling solo and are seeking a roommate. In such cases, we will make a good-faith effort to find you a roommate, but we can not guarantee it. If we are unable to find you a roommate, the single supplement will be your financial responsibility.
